Your First Visit
Does dental care make you feel anxious? At Your Smile Centre, our tender loving care team will treat you as if you were one of our own relatives. When you call or book your visit online, let us know what your primary concern is. We’ll do our best to get you in ASAP to address your specific needs.
Emergency Visits
Are you in pain? We’ll arrange to assess the cause of your discomfort and let you know the treatment options to get you out of pain. You will then be free to choose a treatment that suits you.
Every treatment plan includes pricing for you to go over before moving forward with any procedure. You are always in charge of your care.
New Patient Check and Clean
A comprehensive examination and clean helps to keep your teeth healthy and problems at bay. We believe that prevention is better than cure. Depending on the age of the patient, this visit can range from 30 to 60 minutes in length.
- Lips, cheeks, tongue
- Tonsils, nose
- Muscles, teeth, gums
- Your old amalgam restorations
- We’ll note areas of decay, tartar
We take IMAGES so you can see, what we see and these records will help us to monitor some conditions. When appropriate, we will recommend X-rays.
- Close-up X-rays to check what is happening between and around the teeth. These digital images allow us to see any existing conditions not visible during an exam.
- OPG – to show upper and lower jaws to eliminate any bone loss, infection, cyst, tumor…
After we have cleaned your teeth, we will show and explain the findings. If you are happy with the findings, then not much needs to change. If you are not happy with your current condition or if you are not happy with the predicted deterioration, we can then develop a plan to get you where you want to be.
You will understand your treatment options, the positives and negatives of each option so that you can make an educated decision. If you would like to go ahead with some treatment, but you have financial difficulties, please talk to us, we will take the time to help you work something out.
Insurance and Financial Information
We accept all health funds and file claims on the spot through our HICAPS machine. Please note that we are not a preferred provider but we accept every health fund and your gap payment depends on your level of coverage.
